ReadRash is a free bike racing game you play by reading out loud. Here's exactly what it does and doesn't do.
No signup
No email, no age, no password. Riders get a fun generated name like TurboMango21.
No chat
Riders can't message each other. Names are never typed, so nobody can write something rude.
No audio kept
ReadRash never records or stores voices. Only the words recognised are used, then dropped.
How voice works
ReadRash uses the speech recognition built into Chrome and Edge. The browser sends the sound to its own speech service (Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge), which sends back the words it heard. ReadRash compares those words with the ones on screen and moves the bike. It never saves the sound or the words.
What we store
- A random secret code that lives on the device, so the rider's progress is kept.
- The generated rider name, race times, places and Rash Points.
- Races riders make: their list of words and its board.
- Daily counts like "links opened today", with nothing that identifies anyone.
No cookies for tracking and no advertising. Leaderboards show only generated names and times.
Races made by riders
From their second race, riders can make a race from their own words and share the link. Every word must come from our list of about 63,000 everyday English words, and about 1,000 rude, hurtful, adult and violent words are blocked, including slurs and common Hindi abuses. Numbers, links and emails can't be typed. Each word sits alone on a sign, so a race can't spell out a sentence.
Every race link has a Report button. Three reports pause the race straight away until it's checked.
Reading levels, not ages
Riders pick Rookie, Pro or Legend themselves and can switch any time. There's no age gate and no grading: just a race.
Using it with a group
Race once, tap Challenge a friend, and share the link. Everyone who opens it races the same signs against your ghost, and the link has its own little leaderboard. Bigger group links unlock as riders earn Rash Points.
